My love affair with photography began when I was in high school and learning to use the "old" film cameras. I spent a lot of time enjoying the technical process of developing film, darkrooms, and enlarging photographs. During college I continued to embrace photography and learn the "new" digital technology. Today digital photography is evolving so quickly, and I remain committed to learning new techniques and processes.

Becoming a mother in 2008 renewed my love for photography in a completely different way. I started to focus on the exquisite form of a pregnant woman, the innocence of a newborn, the pure joy of a baby, the sparkle in the eye of a child. These "little" people fascinate me; their honesty, their complexities, their unconditional love, and their newness. Their very presence brings so much joy and I love to capture their spirit in every photograph.

I believe in creating beautiful photographs on-site rather than in a studio setting. I enjoy photographing babies and children in their natural environment where they are free to express themselves and not forced to pose in an unnatural way.
